Privacy Policy for Monkey Library by Tech Bedoya Inc.
1. Introduction
Welcome to Monkey Library, an application developed by Tech Bedoya Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"), a company located in Quebec, Canada. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our application. By accessing or using Monkey Library, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
a. Personal Information
When you register for Monkey Library, we may collect personal information such as your name, email address, and payment information for subscription purposes.
b. Media Information
Monkey Library does not store your actual media files (e.g., photos, videos, or audio files). Instead, we store metadata associated with your media, such as file names, tags, categories, and organizational preferences. This information allows you to browse, search, classify, and navigate your media files effortlessly.
All media references within the platform are external URLs provided by users, pointing to content stored in their own third-party storage accounts (such as Google Drive, Dropbox, Amazon S3, Bunny.net, or similar services). Monkey Library functions exclusively as an organizational layer — it does not store, host, transmit, or serve any video files, image files, or other media content on its own servers or infrastructure. Tech Bedoya Inc. has no access to, and does not retrieve or process, the actual content of any media file linked through the platform. Linked files remain entirely within your own third-party storage accounts and are subject to those providers’ own privacy policies.
c. Usage Data
We may collect information about how you use the application, including your interactions within the app, features used, and preferences. This data helps us improve our services and user experience.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for various purposes, including:
- To provide and maintain the Monkey Library application.
- To process your subscription payments.
- To improve our application, including adding new features and fixing bugs.
- To communicate with you, including sending updates, promotional offers, and other information related to Monkey Library.
- To ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not share, sell, or rent your personal information or media information to third parties, except in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: We may share your information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating our application, processing payments, or providing customer support. These providers are bound by confidentiality agreements and are only permitted to use your information for the services they provide to us.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a legal process, such as a court order, subpoena, or government investigation.
- Business Transfers: If Tech Bedoya Inc. is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
- Space members: Metadata you add to a shared Space (video titles, tags, collections, performer and studio associations) is visible to other members of that Space with appropriate roles. External URL references are visible to Space members who have been granted access by the Space owner. No personal account information is shared with other Space members.
5. Third-Party Services
Monkey Library integrates with the following third-party services to operate the platform. Each provider processes data under their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing their policies to understand how your data is handled:

Your use of third-party storage services (Google Drive, Dropbox, Amazon S3, Bunny.net, etc.) to store media files linked through Monkey Library is governed solely by those providers’ own terms and privacy policies. Tech Bedoya Inc. does not access, read, or process the content of files stored in your third-party accounts.
6. Data Security
We take the security of your information seriously and use industry-standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information and associated metadata for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. The following retention periods apply:
Account and metadata: Retained for the duration of your account. Deleted upon account closure, except where retention is required by law.
Behavioral data (watchlists, playback progress, likes): Retained for the duration of your account and permanently deleted upon account deletion.
Invoice PDFs and billing records: Retained for a minimum of 7 years following the billing date, as required under Canadian federal tax law (Income Tax Act) and Quebec provincial tax regulations.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at support@monkeylibrary.app. Please note that deleting your account will result in the permanent loss of all metadata, Space memberships, watchlists, and organizational preferences you have created. Invoice records will be retained for the legally required 7-year period regardless of account deletion.
