What is Monkey Library, and how does it work?

Create a space to input detailed information about your media files, such as studio, casting, and tags. Use advanced search options to browse your library by title, synopsis, or assigned tags. Easily share your organized spaces with other users for seamless collaboration.
Add videos by pasting any public URL or embed code from YouTube, Vimeo, Bunny.net, Google Drive, Dropbox, or Amazon S3. No account connections required — your credentials are never shared with us.Can I upload my own videos and photos to Monkey Library?
buttonMonkey Library does not store your media files and does not connect to your storage accounts. Instead, you add videos in two ways: by pasting any public URL, or by adding an embed code from platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, or Bunny.net. Once added, Monkey Library handles the organisation, search, and playback — your files stay exactly where they are, and your storage credentials are never shared with us.
What are "spaces," and how do I create them?
buttonSpaces in Monkey Library are customizable containers used to organize and manage your media files efficiently. They act as dedicated environments where you can classify videos and photos, input metadata such as titles, tags, studios, or cast details, and group related content. Spaces make it easy to organize your media into distinct categories or projects, ensuring everything is well-structured and accessible.
To create a space, simply sign into Monkey Library, click "Create New Space," and name it according to your project or theme. From there, you can begin adding media details and metadata. Spaces can also be shared with other users, making collaboration seamless and efficient.
How does the advanced search feature work?
buttonThe advanced search feature in Monkey Library allows you to quickly and accurately find media files by leveraging powerful filters and metadata. You can search using various criteria, such as titles, tags, synopses, studios, or cast details, ensuring you locate exactly what you need. The feature supports keyword-based searches as well as filter combinations, letting you refine your results further.
Whether you're looking for a specific video or browsing related content, the advanced search provides a seamless and efficient way to explore your library.
How does tagging help organize my media?
buttonTagging in Monkey Library is a powerful tool for organizing your media files by assigning descriptive labels or keywords to each item. Tags can represent themes, genres, cast members, studios, or any relevant attribute, making it easier to classify your content.
By using tags, you can group related media and enable faster, more efficient searches. For example, searching for a specific tag like "comedy" or "documentary" instantly filters your library to show only the relevant items. This system not only simplifies navigation but also enhances collaboration, as shared spaces retain their tags for consistent organization. Tagging transforms a cluttered library into an easily searchable and well-structured collection.
Can I share my media or spaces with others?
buttonYes, you can share your media spaces with other registered users on Monkey Library if they have a Regular Plan. When you share a space, users can browse the library, view and play media files, and engage with the content by adding it to their watchlist or liking videos they enjoy. However, they will not have the ability to modify or edit the media files or metadata within the space.
As the space owner, you have full control over access permissions. You can grant or revoke access to your shared spaces at any time, ensuring that your content remains secure and shared only with those you choose.
Are there any limits on how much media I can manage in my library?
buttonThe Regular Plan has no limit on media files — add, tag, and organise as many videos and photos as you need.

What’s included in the Free Plan?
buttonThe Free Plan is a great way to explore Monkey Library and its features at no cost. It provides access to the platform, allowing you to experience its intuitive interface and powerful media management tools firsthand.
With the Free Plan, you can try out two sample spaces to see how media files are organized, tagged, and classified. This hands-on experience gives you a clear understanding of how the platform can simplify your media management needs. While the Free Plan is limited to sample spaces, it’s an excellent starting point to discover Monkey Library’s potential before upgrading to a Regular Plan.
What’s included in the Regular Plan?
buttonThe Regular Plan offers the full Monkey Library experience, providing all the tools you need to manage and organize your media efficiently. With this plan, you can create unlimited spaces, giving you complete flexibility to structure and categorize your library based on your projects or preferences.
Additionally, you have the ability to share your spaces with other registered users, making collaboration seamless, or browse and interact with shared spaces created by others. There are no limits on the number of media files you can add, tag, and organize, allowing your library to grow as needed. The Regular Plan ensures a comprehensive and unrestricted media management experience.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan later?
buttonYes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time to suit your needs. If you’re currently on the Free Plan, upgrading to the Regular Plan will unlock additional features, such as unlimited space creation, the ability to share spaces, and full access to play and manage your media files.
However, please note that the Free Plan does not allow you to play or download videos—it’s intended for exploring the platform through sample spaces. Downgrading to the Free Plan will limit these functionalities. Our flexible plans ensure you can choose the option that best fits your requirements at any time.
How do I request a Custom Plan, and what does it include?

Is my data secure on Monkey Library?
buttonYes, your data is secure on Monkey Library. We take privacy and security seriously, ensuring that all personal and media data is encrypted both during transfer and at rest. This means your information is protected from unauthorized access at all times.
Additionally, your media files and associated metadata are only accessible to the users you choose to share them with. You maintain full control over who can view your spaces and media, and sharing permissions can be updated or revoked at any time. With robust encryption and user-controlled access, Monkey Library provides a safe environment for managing and sharing your media.
Can I access Monkey Library on mobile devices?

There’s no need for additional downloads or installations—simply log in from your browser and start managing your media effortlessly wherever you are.
Can I recover deleted files or spaces?
buttonNo, deleted files or spaces cannot be recovered on Monkey Library. Once you delete a media file or an entire space, the action is permanent, and the data is completely removed from the platform. To avoid accidental loss, we recommend carefully reviewing your files before deletion. Always double-check to ensure you're deleting the correct content.
Does the platform support high-resolution media?
buttonYes, Monkey Library supports high-resolution media, but the loading and playback quality depend on the speed of the Content Delivery Network (CDN) or platform where the media file is hosted.
Since Monkey Library does not host any files directly, it relies on external platforms like Bunny.net, Dropbox, Google Drive, or Amazon S3 to play videos or display images. To ensure optimal performance, we recommend using these dedicated storage solutions for high-resolution content, as they are designed to deliver smooth and efficient playback.
What browser or system requirements are needed to use Monkey Library?
buttonMonkey Library is designed to work seamlessly on most common browsers, including Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, ensuring accessibility across a wide range of platforms. To enjoy the best experience, we recommend using the latest versions of these browsers.
The platform is also compatible with the latest versions of major operating systems, such as macOS, iOS, and Windows. Keeping your system and browser up-to-date ensures optimal performance and full access to all of Monkey Library’s features.
How do I create an account?
buttonCreating an account is free and takes less than a minute. Go to my.monkeylibrary.app and click Get Started. Enter your name, email address, and a password. You will receive a confirmation email — click the link to verify your address and your account will be activated immediately. No credit card is required to sign up for the Free plan.
I didn’t receive my confirmation email. What should I do?
buttonFirst check your spam or junk folder — confirmation emails occasionally get filtered. If it is not there, wait a few minutes and check again. If you still have not received it after 10 minutes, go to the login page and click Resend confirmation email. Make sure you are checking the inbox for the exact email address you used to register. If the problem persists, contact us at support@monkeylibrary.app and we will resolve it manually within one business day.
How do I reset my password?
buttonGo to my.monkeylibrary.app and click Forgot password on the login page. Enter the email address associated with your account and click Send reset link. You will receive an email with a secure link — click it and follow the instructions to set a new password. The reset link expires after 24 hours. If you do not receive the email, check your spam folder or contact support@monkeylibrary.app.
Can I have multiple accounts or manage multiple libraries?
buttonEach email address corresponds to one Monkey Library account. You do not need multiple accounts to manage multiple libraries — the Spaces feature is designed exactly for this purpose.
Free plan accounts include 1 Space. Regular plan accounts can create up to 20 Spaces, each with its own catalog, tags, metadata, and sharing settings. Think of each Space as a separate library for a different project, collection, or category.
